EarthDay 2024

We’re celebrating Earth Day this Saturday 20th April, 10-4pm. Come and join us!

Transition Woodbridge is holding a Local Food and Environment Fair on Whisstocks Place. Come and meet local food producers using no or less plastic in their packaging. Wakelyns, Woodbridge Tide Mill Flour, Hullabaloo Vegan and Vegetarian, Sandlings Saffron, Redland Produce (with our neighbour Woodyard Pizza doing a special venison bagel) and more!
Cupboard Love’s mobile refill shop will come stocked with products offering alternatives to plastics and a wide range of wholefoods, herbs, and spices and cleaning products. Bring your own containers and bags.
Local environmental groups like Suffolk Wildlife Trust, RSPB and Save the Deben will be on display along with the Fair-Trade team who will be promoting fair traded goods from around the world.

Sea Folk Arts will be enhancing the whole day from 10-4PM with live music from popular local musicians on Whisstock’s Place including the aquatronic beats of Aartwork, singer-songwriters Ash Carr, Elly Tree, Petra Garrard and Martin Wilks with storytelling for children of all ages from Bards Aloud.

In the Long Shed Gallery, you can enjoy creative craft activities using no plastic materials and find fun ways to re-use plastic packaging.
Watch videos and films about local food producers and relax with river and coastal films and music from Jan Pulsford and Woodbridge Ambient Music Festival.

Saturday 20th April 10-4pm.
