Support Us

We do hope you might want to support us. There are various ways you can do this below.

Visit Us

Woodbridge Riverside Trust (WRT), a non-profit community organisation, welcomes you to the Longshed, our unique maritime heritage initiative at the heart of the Woodbridge Historic Riverside.

The Longshed is normally open to visitors from 11.00-13.00 each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, On Saturday’s and Sunday’s we are open from 10.00am till 3.00pm throughout the year.

Donate To Us

We need your donations, large or small, to keep the project rolling. This is ‘your’ project, for you and your community to take pride in and to enjoy, and to boost the vitality of our town by making sure our maritime heritage stays with us. So please – join our Friends of the Longshed scheme for regular donors, or make a one-off donation towards a particular project now!

The Longshed was a bare shell when we took it on and we need everyone’s help to meet the running costs, fit it out and equip it for its future roles

Friends of the Longshed

As leaseholder for the Longshed, Woodbridge Riverside Trust is responsible for running this wonderful community asset – including meeting all of its running costs (insurance, water and electricity, rates, site charges and administration). These are costs that have to be met in order that planned projects – boat building including skiffs and the Anglo-Saxon shipbuild, exhibitions, and other events – can go ahead.

Many small monthly donations help meet these costs. You can help by joining the Friends of the Longshed regular donors scheme. The Friends can also take part in regular meetings and help plan activities and events.

Volunteer With Us

Our aim is to create, with the help from anyone who wishes to join us in a truly exciting waterside community development that is enjoyable for each and everyone of us; a great place to be to celebrate what Woodbridge means to us all!

There are plenty of opportunities for everyone to join in. We would love to talk to anyone who has something to offer and who can see that our project might interest them.

Book the Longshed Gallery

The John Gibbins Gallery on the first floor is available for hire by external organisations and groups.

We have disabled toilets and a lift. This gives a step-free access to the John Gibbins Gallery.
