Sae Wylfing in the media
Sae Wylfing was an unusual visitor to the School Farm and County Fair at the Suffolk Show ground in April. Whilst the show aimed to inform and to attract young people to understand more about modern farming, the longboat’s display informed them about their historical heritage in East Anglia.
The longboat, a 1: 50 scale sailing replica of the Sutton Hoo ship, continues to travel round the county over summer promoting the Longshed currently being built on Woodbridge Waterfront. Once complete, the Longshed will house a life size reconstruction of the Saxon ship which will be constructed onsite.
The next stop for Sae Wylfing is Jimmy’s Farm Harvest Festival on 23 to 24 July.
