THE KING’S RIVER, a two-part musical theatre performance
Composed by Jana Rowland, Libretto by Sylvia Fairley and Dominic Shea
WORLD PREMIERE RIGHT HERE IN WOODBRIDGE!
Over 100 performers, including an orchestra, a jazz ensemble and singers from schools and choirs in Woodbridge and beyond
In the open air at the newly developed Whisstocks boatyard site:
an Anglo-Saxon village following the death of their King, Raedwald.
At the Riverside Theatre: the discovery of the treasure at Sutton Hoo,
Mrs Pretty’s dream and a party in 1939.
Our Musical Director, Andrew Leach, will lead the singing sessions
Our Director, Andrew Tidmarsh, will lead the staging rehearsals
Members of THE KING’S RIVER YOUNG SINGERS will perform in Part One and/or Part Two, (details will be advised at a later date)
We are Arts Council funded and have support from local business and private donors, so there is no cost for your child to take part.

PRACTICE AND REHEARSAL DATES
SINGING PRACTICES where singers will learn the songs with Andrew Leach will take place as follows over four Saturdays from 9am to 11am:
At Woodbridge Primary School, Wilkinson Way, Woodbridge
11th, 18th, 25th March
1st April (different venue tbc)
Parents welcome to stay and watch/listen
STAGING REHEARSALS – 3 to 7 April 2017 at the Sports Dome, Woodbridge School
(Schedule for additional staging rehearsal dates in May and June to be advised)
DRESS REHEARSAL – Monday 10th July 2017, 6.30pm
Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th, Friday 14th, Saturday 15th July
From 6.30pm to 9pm
Matinee: Sunday 16th July 2017 from 1.30pm to 4.15pm

PLEASE REGISTER YOUR SON/DAUGHTER’S INTEREST AND GIVE PERMISSION FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION AND THE AGREEMENT THAT ANY PHOTOGRAPHIC OR MUSICAL CONTENT INCLUDING THEM IS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLICATION. Please note all official adult supervisors, ushers, marshals will be appropriately checked to comply with the working with young person’s safety guidelines.
