After 18 or more months of being closed to the public due to the covid pandemic The Longshed is reopening. From 21st August we will open our doors initially at on Saturdays and Sundays and Bank Holidays from 11am till 1.00pm. Come along to see what has been happening during the lockdown. We have transformed our John Gibbins Gallery to make it into a comfortable, clean and relatively quiet exhibition, classroom and event space. It is now compliant with NHS and World health Organisation covid air change requirements and is air conditioned.
The John Gibbins Gallery fitout is complete and ready for your events.

Our Sister Charity The Sutton Hoo Ships company have also been busy. The keel is now in place on the strongback and the stem and stern posts are being carved ready to fix to the keel as soon as they are complete.
