Saturday May 10th at 2pm – Claudia Myatt: Talk on Anglo-Saxon Art followed by a hands-on workshop

Claudia is a popular local artist and illustrator. Living on the river within sight of Sutton Hoo, it’s not surprising that she developed a fascination for Anglo-Saxon art. Her book ‘Anglo-Saxon Inspirations’,available in the Longshed shop, features designs to colour as well as instructions on how to design your own patterns and knotwork.
The afternoon event starts with a fascinating talk about Anglo-Saxon design from an artist’s viewpoint, then after a tea break you will have the opportunity to try out some simple Anglo-Saxon patterns for yourself, with all materials provided – no artistic talent needed! Claudia has given workshops in The Longshed before, and they are not to be missed!
