Welcome to Waterfront Woodbridge, a maritime heritage initiative at the heart of our community

Woodbridge Riverside Trust (WRT), a nonprofit community organization, welcomes you to Waterfront Woodbridge, our unique maritime heritage initiative, set to breathe new life into the heart of the Woodbridge waterfront.

The once derelict site of the old Whisstocks Boatyard has been undergoing a transformation and is approaching completion. Among the new  facilities dedicated for community use is a purpose built community resource in keeping with our vision to secure long term benefit for the community through enabling the sheer enjoyment of our outstanding maritime heritage and riverside environment, embracing learning, training and skills development.

Things are happening on the waterfront… Find out about us. Explore what we offer.  Get involved and help celebrate our maritime heritage and shape our waterfront future. View the video above for an introductory overview of this fantastic, new community resource.

Help launch The Longshed - donate now!

Woodbridge Riverside Trust will be taking on The Longshed, a new boat shed, gallery and hands-on learning centre, leased from Woodbridge Town Council, this coming Autumn 2017. Before then, the Trust needs to raise around £70,000 through donations, sponsorship and grants for fitting out the building.

This will be Your Community Resource, so … Please donate what you can here or get in touch with us – 100% of your donation will go to The Longshed.

The first task of the Trust will be to ‘second fit’ the shed shell ready for use, including lighting and provision of boat building equipment, benches, tools, and so on, and we are actively seeking donations for this initial task
